Clients Story

Made for more

Juliana D.C. Laruya, our client from Tavora, Pugo, La Union has been with KASAPI since November 2012. She has a wonderful family blessed with 8 lovely children. Farming is their main source of income and the extra is generated with the sideline job of the father in carpentry.

Most of their children were not sent to school on time due to financial constraints and with the condition of their living before. But ever since her membership in KASAPI Microfinance, the family was able to see an affirmative change in their lives. Juliana was able to grow her livelihood, from having a small snacks stall adjacent to a school to managing the school’s canteen. And through their hard work of her husband, they were able to send their 3 of their children in school, 2 of which now have a Bachelor’s degree in Criminology and Computer Science. Bonus to that is the fact that all their children are now studying in different levels.

Juliana has ever since been one of the good clients of KASAPI. She was even awarded as the Best Center Chief in 2014 and recognized as the client with the highest savings of P25,000, an amount which is higher than her loan amount in her 9th cycle.

With the trust she was able to earn from the company, she was given much higher loan opportunity. With that, she is more confident to expand her business and earn more for the future of her family.

Empowered and determined

Raising a child is like an ocean journey that has raging storms, rough waves and occasional sunny tranquility. It may be easier enough with a partner, but when you’re doing everything alone, the struggle doubles. 39 year-old Margarita Marano, a mother from Laur, Nueva Ecija stands firm against the test of strength to move forward.

When she and her husband got separated, their three kids were greatly affected and the custody had to be equally given to both. Her two sons are living with her husband while her daughter was left under her care.  “When I felt that we are going to live separately with my husband, I had to think of means on how I will survive without his help.” said Margarita.

To sustain their daily needs, Margarita applied a loan in KASAPI to start a business. She was satisfied with the quick loan process of KASAPI that she was able to build her business with ease. With an initial loan of Php 10,000, she opened a retail store in front of her house.

It is with the help of KASAPI that I have now a small business that can help in aiding our everyday expenses as well as the educational needs of my daughter.” added Margarita.

Margarita holds on to the hope that with the help of KASAPI, she will be able to surpass anything that she and her daughter may face along the way.
