KASAPI employee joined People Management Association of the Philippines (PMAP) 2nd learning session and workshop on communication and business correspondence last December 6, 2017 at Talavera Agricultural & Social Enterprise Training Center (TASEC), Sampaloc, Talavera, Nueva Ecija.
Dr. Ronaldo Larioque a Barack Obama’s Bronze Medal Awardee, Best Research Presenter in the Regional Research Conference and an Instructor at Nueva Ecija Univeristy of Science and Technology serve as the speaker of the event.
The seminar’s topic is about Intensive training and workshop in English communication and business correspondence.
The PMAP is a skilled, non-stock, non-profit organization engaged and interested in Human Resource Management (HRM) and Industrial Relations (IR) related works.
The organization founded 59 years ago and continously advancing in the profession of Human Resource Management.
The seminar helped the staff to broaden their knowledgeand equipped them in terms of writing communication and business letters which are essential to the employee’s everyday transaction.
A three-day general training course of Postharvest Technology was realized at the Conference/Training room of KASAPI Central Office.
The said seminar was conducted by the Philippine Center for Postharvest Development and Mechanization (PhilMech) last November 27-29, 2017.
30 employees from Training, Audit and Research & Development department and from KASAPI Enterprises received lectures covering technical information on all areas of postharvest operation.

There was also an actual exposure to the rice fields and a warehouse inspection at KASAPI Enterprises rice milling site on the second day to apply what they’ve learned about grains classification and to familiarize the participants to the milling process.
Overall, the seminar strengthened the employees’ knowledge and skills of the postharvest industry.
The Training Education and Transformation Department under KASAPI Ako Foundation Inc. attended the seminar “Training the Trainers” last November 16, 2017 at i-Learn office, Malate, Manila.
In order to keep pace with other competitors, the department headed by Joan Pagaling, Deputy Director together with her team immerse in the current and trending methods on how to properly train others.
The seminar also tackled the issues about do’s and don’ts of a trainer, using the appropriate learning style and approach for every individual and how to be an effective and efficient trainer.
“Trainers don’t teach, they facilitate and cultivate their participants with the right method and let them bloom at their own perfect time with a little push at the back”, Mr. Andy Maniti, Program facilitator.
Overall, the seminar strengthened the knowledge of the trainers in order to mold future leaders of the company.
MANILA, Philippines – On KASAPI’s 10th year of committed service, KASAPI Microfinance and Rural Development, Inc. (KMRDI) was recognized by LANDBANK as the 2nd Place, Outstanding MFI and the Best MFI Availer - Agri-Agra Loans last August 14, 2017 at Philippine International Convention Center.
The Gawad MFI was launched by LANDBANK in 2016 during its 53rd Anniversary as an additional category under its GAWAD PITAK or Gawad sa Pinakanatatanging Kooperatiba, a national search that has been conducted for 27 years. It is given in recognition of the notable undertakings made by microfinance institutions as vital partners of the Bank in the delivery of financial services in the rural communities.
This year, KMRDI joins two other MFIs on the shortlist of awardees, Center for Agriculture and Rural Development (CARD), Inc. and Taytay sa Kauswagan, Inc.
KASAPI Group of Companies marked a decade of fulfilling dreams from its humble beginnings with the celebration of its 10th Founding Anniversary and Thanksgiving Party on December 17, 2016 at Hotel Stotsenberg Clark Freeport Zone, Pampanga with the theme,“Sampung taon ng Kalinga At Serbisyo Alay Para sa Inyo”.
The celebration is by far the biggest and grandest gathering of KASAPI wherein approximately 1,400 employees attended and participated in the momentous event. Employees displayed elegance and poise as they graced traditional Filipino dresses such as Maria Clara, Filipiniana and Barong Tagalog.
MusiKASAPI, the official contest, was one of the most anticipated parts of the event. It is a musical variety and rendition contest based on the company’s hymn. Performances were represented by 4 satellite head offices (Naga, Agoo, NCR, Santiago), Central Office, Ecijanos & Foundation and Enterprises and KMC. Out of the seven competing groups, three were hailed winners, who aside from the pride and prestige had won cash prizes worth P70,000 for the Champion, P50,000 for the 2nd place and P30,000 for the 3rd place. Here are the winners: Enterprises and KMC team – Champions; Central Office – 2nd place and Santiago Head Office – 3rd place.
Another highlight in the event is the Employee’s Awards wherein deserving employees were given recognition for their commendable service throughout the year. Also, employees who carried themselves with beauty and grace were given acknowledgement. Intermission numbers were also given to selected employees. KASAPI Divas, composed of Irish Sabado, Schayenne Kaye Bautista, and Patrice Jade Diaz rendered OPM classics with a trio style arrangement. Guest judge for MusiKASAPI, singer and composer, Raymond Lauchengco serenaded the audience with his timeless hits. President and CEO, Carlito A. Fernando with his daughter, Lara Kristen, also performed a heart-rending duet of an Apo Hiking Society hit, Batang-Bata. GMA artist and comedienne, Boobsie Wonderland together with other celebrity performers rendered entertainment with their impersonations and punch lines.

After the highly anticipated 10th Founding Anniversary Celebration and Thanksgiving Party, Central Office employees ended the year in a colorful revelry as they conducted an annual year-end party on December 29, 2016 held at 3rd flr. Conference Hall, KASAPI Corporate Centre.
The event had a theme, “Colors of the Rainbow”, wherein the officers and staffs from different departments such as Operations, Admin, I.T., Accounting, Finance, Legal, Insurance and HR wore various colors exemplifying the shades of the rainbow.
There were games, prizes, raffle draws and exchange gifts among the attendees. Employees actively participated in the party games and in cheering contest, which they really enjoyed doing. President and CEO, Carlito A. Fernando with General Manager for KMC, Laarni A. Fernando were also present in the event. One of the attendees, SVPO, Ma’am Concha Sison mentioned, “We all enjoyed the party! It’s a job well done to the organizers and facilitators!” The realization of the event was made possible through the efforts of KASAPI Ako Foundation consisting of officers and staff of Training and Transformation and Research and Development departments.
